A product structure built for the company, not the customer

Remeha is a leading European manufacturer of heating and hot water systems, founded in 1935 and now part of BDR Thermea Group. The Belgian subsidiary is the largest B2B player in the Benelux heating sector, offering boilers, heat pumps, thermostats, and related HVAC products across both Dutch and French markets.

A comprehensive site audit covering technical SEO, on-page SEO, authority analysis, and bilingual keyword research revealed a fundamental mismatch: the product section was structured around internal classifications rather than how customers actually search. The opportunity was clear: restructure the product hierarchy to match search behaviour, create optimised content at every category level, and build a conversion path to capture leads.

The product pages were Remeha Belgium’s primary SEO entry points, but the existing architecture had only one category layer before products. With 16+ categories at the same level, there was no depth to capture mid-funnel search queries.

Restructure, optimise, convert

Every gap from the audit became a requirement with clear specifications. We transformed the flat category structure into a search-driven hierarchy with multiple levels, from category pages down to subcategories and sub-subcategories, each mapped to actual search queries in both Dutch and French.

Site Architecture & On-Page SEO

We redesigned the product hierarchy to match search intent. Every new category, subcategory, and sub-subcategory page received full on-page optimisation: keyword-driven URLs, title tags, meta descriptions, heading tags, and optimised body copy. Strategic internal linking connected parent, sibling, and child pages to reinforce topical clusters and distribute authority throughout the hierarchy.

Heat Advisor Widget: From Traffic to Leads

To convert organic traffic into qualified leads, we created the heat advisor widget, a multi-step product recommendation tool guiding visitors through questions about their property and heating needs. Leads were automatically captured in Remeha’s CRM and distributed to relevant installers. A marketing automation flow with follow-up email sequences nurtured leads post-conversion.
